Launch of EOSC EU Node initiated

On 10 October, the EOSC EU Node was technically launched by the European Commission in Brussels. This key step brings centralised access to scientific data, publications, software and services, and creates a digital platform for researchers to collaborate more effectively across Europe. The European Big Data Value Forum 2024 took place in Hungary's capital from 2 to 4 October. This main event for Europe's research and innovation community in the fields of big data and artificial intelligence is traditionally organised by the Big Data Value Association. Call for candidates for four directors of the EOSC Association

The call for candidates for four EOSC Association Board of Director positions has been launched for the 2024 elections, which will take place during the 9th General Assembly. Members interested in potentially serving on the Board for either one or three years are encouraged to apply. Currently, there is a need for candidates with specific skills, including political insight, policy expertise, and relevant technological know-how.

Consultation on the EOSC Multi-Annual Roadmap

The EOSC Association Board of Directors has drafted an update of the Multi-Annual Roadmap (MAR) for 2026–2027, outlining priority activities for implementing EOSC at the European, national, and institutional levels. A three-week consultation to gather community feedback on the updated MAR opened on 3 September and will run through 22 September of this year.
