The Czech data stewards' community gathered online on February 4 to discuss important updates. Participants were introduced to the newly published "Beginner’s Guide for Data Stewards". They were also reminded about the ongoing data stewards campaign and the survey on the use of AI tools in practice.
The second part of the meeting focused on supporting the creation of Data Management Plans (DMPs) in Czech Science Foundation projects. Attendees shared their experiences, tips, and workflows, leading to the decision to launch a survey on the use of the DS/FAIRWizard tool. Additionally, this tool will be the focus of a workshop at the next in-person community meeting on April 7, 2025.

On 26 March, the fifth meeting of the Czech data steward community took place at Masaryk University in Brno. Alongside a rich professional program, the event also created space for sharing experiences and mutual inspiration. The meeting once again confirmed that research data management is not only about tools and methodologies, but above all about people – and that this community is playing an increasingly important role in shaping its development in the Czech Republic.
