Unlike working groups, Task Forces have a specific setup for their operation and membership. Their activities follow these principles:
- they have a limited duration – usually a maximum of one year or until the defined objective is achieved,
- they are established only when a specific topic and an expected outcome of their work are defined,
- membership is not fully open and is subject to approval by the Task Force lead,
- participation requires membership in one of the EOSC CZ working groups.
Task Forces focus on topics that are relevant to a broad range of research communities across disciplinary and scientific clusters. These topics build on or further develop the activities of the EOSC CZ initiative. Their establishment is driven by the initiative of members of the EOSC CZ community – if you have a proposal for a new topic or would like to establish your own Task Force, please complete the Task Force charter template and contact us at info@eosc.cz.

Controlled Vocabularies and Ontologies in the NRP/NDI
The Task Force on Controlled Vocabularies in the NRP/NDI originated from an initiative of the National Technical Library – specifically the Centre for Repositories and Metadata Management. The aim of the Task Force is to develop a methodology for working with controlled vocabularies and ontologies within the NRP/NDI, describing the process from the selection of a controlled vocabulary by a domain repository to its registration in the National Repository Catalogue.
