Prepare your team for effective data management (plans)

Trust in Science Conference

Science Europe and the French National Research Agency (ANR) are organising a conference on 11 December 2025 at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris to address how research organisations can strengthen public trust in science and research. The event will bring together policymakers, researchers, and communication experts to discuss the factors undermining confidence in science, the role of media and public engagement, and ways to improve transparency and understanding of the scientific process. The conference aims to develop concrete recommendations to enhance trust between science and society.

Experts on Open Science Gathered in Bratislava

On Thursday 14 November, the second edition of the Slovak Open Science Forum took place in Bratislava, focusing on open access, research data management, evaluation of scientific activities and citizen science. Among others, Matej Antol, the principal manager of the IPs EOSC-CZ, presented the EOSC CZ initiative and its contribution to Czech research and its link with European science.

EOSC Symposium 2024 in Berlin: Towards the European Scientific Cloud Infrastructure

On 21-23 October, the EOSC Symposium 2024 took place in Berlin, attracting over 450 in-person participants and more than 900 online from over 60 countries. The event provided an opportunity to discuss the future of EOSC. It kicked off with the launch of the first EOSC EU Node, the key to connecting European data services and infrastructure.

Reflecting on Open Science Week 2024: Fostering Open Science and Data Stewardship in the Czech Republic

On 21-23 October 2024, Open Science Week under the auspices of the Open Science Working Group of the Association of University Libraries (AKVŠ), took place in an online meeting format. The three-day programme featured a series of lectures and discussions on the development of open science, data stewardship and practical tools to help researchers in their daily practice.

ESFRI has started the process of updating its Research Infrastructure Roadmap, which is expected to be completed in 2026

On Tuesday, 8 October 2024, the ESFRI Roadmap 2026 Information Day took place in Brussels, launching a new process to update the Roadmap, scheduled for December 2026. ESFRI will analyze the European research environment over the next two years to support key infrastructures enabling cutting-edge research.

Launch of EOSC EU Node initiated

On 10 October, the EOSC EU Node was technically launched by the European Commission in Brussels. This key step brings centralised access to scientific data, publications, software and services, and creates a digital platform for researchers to collaborate more effectively across Europe.
