Scope
EOSC Node Czechia provides a national entry point to selected Czech research data, repositories, computing resources and digital services integrated into the EOSC Federation. The Node supports the discovery, access, processing and reuse of research data and other digital research resources across scientific disciplines.
Intended Users
EOSC Node Czechia is intended for researchers, research teams and other research professionals in Czechia and across the EOSC Federation. Access conditions may differ between individual resources and services and are specified for each service below.
Responsible Organisation
EOSC Node Czechia is operated by the e-INFRA CZ consortium, consisting of: CESNET, CERIT-SC at Masaryk University and IT4Innovations at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.

National Metadata Directory (NMA)
The National Metadata Directory is a central discovery service aggregating metadata about research datasets from Czech repositories and directing users to the repositories where the datasets are stored.

These services are primarily intended for users from the Czech research and academic community, including their international collaborators, as well as for use within the EOSC Federation. For services requiring authentication, access is provided through CESiD AAI, which is integrated into the EOSC AAI Federation and supports interoperable access across EOSC Nodes.
EOSC Node Czechia provides the technical and operational capabilities needed to operate within the EOSC Federation and interoperate with other EOSC Nodes. These include Authentication and Authorisation Infrastructure (AAI), Resource Catalogue and Registry Services, Helpdesk, Service Monitoring and Service Management.
Services Planned for EOSC Node Onboarding
Research Data Repositories
EOSC Node Czechia supports the gradual onboarding of suitable national and domain-specific research data repositories, expanding a trusted environment for FAIR research data across disciplines.
Repositories will be progressively integrated as they meet the technical, operational and policy requirements for participation in EOSC Node Czechia and the wider EOSC Federation.
Service Incubator
The Service Incubator is a planned supported environment for emerging services and research data repositories that are not yet ready for full EOSC onboarding.
It will provide technical, operational and organisational support to help services mature towards production readiness and future integration into EOSC Node Czechia and the EOSC Federation.
The Incubator is intended to lower the barrier for early engagement with EOSC while maintaining clear requirements for service quality, interoperability, transparency and trust.
Collaboration with Other European Nodes (Multi-Node Use Cases)
- Cross-Node LLM: Secure access to LLMs across European Nodes through a unified interface and an OpenAI-compatible API.
- AI-enhanced Galaxy workflows: Integration of usegalaxy.cz with LLMs directly within scientific workflows, supporting annotation, metadata creation and code generation.
- SensitiveCloud for MCVAL: Multi-centre validation of an AI model for prostate cancer detection using data from Austria.
