The seminar focuses on the theoretical foundations: principles of metadata modelling, the origin and structure of CCMM, and an introduction to the Dataspecer tool. A recording of the seminar will be available and is recommended for those who cannot attend the seminar but plan to join the subsequent Workshop on Working with CCMM and the Dataspecer Tool (8 October 2025). The webinar will provide attendees with motivation for selecting the right sort of a repository, focusing on the benefits of publishing data in domain specific repositories. After discussing the attributes of suitable and trustworthy repositories, an overview of relevant domain-specific repositories for STEM fields will be presented.
