Research infrastructures are among the leading producers of scientific data in Europe, and their role will be decisive in determining whether the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) becomes a truly functional research environment. Their goal was not to ask how to build EOSC, but how to ensure it delivers real value for science.

April is celebrated worldwide as Citizen Science Month — a time highlighting activity in which members of the public contribute to both data collection and analysis. Globally, tens of millions of people are involved; in the Czech Republic, participation reaches hundreds of thousands each year. Anyone can take part in Citizen Science Month: all it takes is a smartphone, a computer, and the willingness to contribute to research whose results end up in scientific publications and international databases — and in some cases significantly accelerate the pace of discovery.

Data stewards met in Brno: Sharing experience, tools, and inspiration

Alongside a rich professional program, the event also created space for sharing experiences and mutual inspiration.
