The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is a pioneering initiative that aims to create an inclusive and open space for the exchange and use of research data in Europe.Three free EOSC Coffee Lectures from the ZBW provide clarity about what the EOSC is and what it is not, present the current status and relevant developments in the context of the EOSC and show how you can get involved in the activities of the EOSC.The EOSC Coffee Lectures invite everyone who deals with research data in their scientific work or is involved in the implementation and operation of research data infrastructures.The Coffee Lectures are given by Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann. Prof. Dr. Klaus Tochtermann is, among other things, a member of the Board of Directors of the EOSC Association (EOSC-A) and is also involved in several NFDI consortia and a member of the NFDI Senate. 3 Nov 2023 Czech EOSC Initiative Representatives Share Their Future Visions at Open Science Week 2023 This year's Open Science Week presented a diverse program of lectures delivered by Czech and foreing experts, focusing on open science and its core principles. Coordinated by the Association of Libraries of the Czech Republic, this event involved the active participation of universities in five different cities. Among the speakers, there were also representatives of the EOSC initiative in the Czech Republic.

3 Oct 2023 Reaching for Progress: EOSC Symposium 2023 Advances Open Science EOSC representatives from all European countries gathered in Madrid, Spain. During the EOSC Symposium 2023 in September, representatives from the Czech Republic actively engaged in discussions concerning the initiative's future steps, priorities, and strategic direction. The event was held under the auspices of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
