This course is held in the Czech language. In this lecture, we will follow up on the Introduction to FAIR Data lecture and specifically focus on the planning phase of working with data. We will explain in more detail why data work planning is essential. We will demonstrate the differences between a data management plan as a document and data management planning as a process that guides us through the entire research data lifecycle. We will demonstrate the essential elements of a suitable DMP and the application of selected tools through practical examples.

Introduction to FAIR data

This course is held in the Czech language. In this talk, we will introduce the research data lifecycle in the broader context of Open Science and the contemporary requirements of research funders for working with data. We will also present the FAIR principles and the implementation tools, including persistent identifiers. Finally, we will demonstrate data storage and sharing possibilities in academic institutions and the Czech e-infrastructure.

FAIR Implementation Profile – an Effective Way towards FAIR Community Standards

In this workshop, we will present one of the most significant developments in the field of methods and tools for the optimal implementation of the FAIR Principles - FAIR Implementation Profile (FIP), which is a methodology developed within the GO FAIR initiative through which the scientific and research communities have the opportunity to express their choices of standards, technologies, tools and procedures by which they fulfil the FAIR principles. The methodology and related tools are planned to be used in the OS I and OS II projects.
