8th Open Science Retreat – this time with a focus on “Artificial Intelligence and Open Science”. Applying AI in the research process and still complying with the principles of Open science presents challenges such as ensuring transparency and reproducibility in AI models, which often function as “black boxes”. On the other hand, for instance, AI has the potential to revolutionize science communication by simplifying complex scientific concepts and tailoring explanations to diverse audiences through natural language processing.

FAIR Wizard training for Data Stewards

5 – 6 Mar 2025

The Open Science Department of KNAV is organizing two training sessions on the FAIR Wizard tool for creating DMPs for Data Stewards. The trainings will focus on more advanced features of the tool and how to prepare DMP documents for researchers from individual institutes. Training in Brno will take place on Wednesday 5 March 2025, 10:00-12:00 Training in Prague will take place on Thursday 6 March 2025, 10:00-12:00

Fundamentals of Research Data Management

This course is held in the Czech language. The lecture provides insights into basic research data management (RDM) practices for participants, especially PhD students, project data managers/curators/stewards, or national or international grant researchers. It emphasizes FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles and motivation in the Open Science (OS) context.
