Metadata profiles – design and implementation

Annotation: In this workshop, we will take a practical approach to the topic of metadata. We will introduce several basic metadata profiles commonly used for data description and explain their purpose. We will also focus on DCAT profiles and the advantages of using ontologies in metadata. Finally, we will explore when and how to create new schemas – all within the context of publishing research data as part of the EOSC CZ initiative.

Benefits for participants: Understand the purpose of metadata, become familiar with commonly used metadata profiles and the possibilities for extending them, as well as creating new ones using ontologies.
