Long Live Research Data - National EOSC CZ Conference 2025

Are you interested in the future of working with research data? The EOSC CZ National Conference 2025 in Ostrava will offer two inspiring days – from plenary sessions and panel discussions to interactive workshops and the first competitive Poster Session. Registration for the Poster Session is open until 15 October 2025.

TEHDAS2: Health Data as a Key to Innovation. Representatives of Masaryk University Among Experts at the International EHDS Meeting

At the international meeting TEHDAS2 – Health Data Policy into Practice, held on 9 October 2025, Zdenka Dudová, lead of the Sensitive Data working group within the EOSC CZ initiative, represented the Czech community. She is involved in preparing methodological guidelines and technical specifications for the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

EOSC CZ Networking in Silesia: One Region, Three Universities, Shared Challenges

On 7 October 2025, the EOSC CZ initiative organised a regional networking meeting at the VSB – Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO), bringing together representatives from three Silesian universities – the Silesian University in Opava (SU), the University of Ostrava (OU), and VSB-TUO.

3rd FAIR Digital Objects Conference

The FAIR Digital Objects Conference 2026 will bring together leading experts in the field of FAIR Digital Objects (FDO) for a two-day event focused on interoperability, the use of artificial intelligence, and practical FDO applications. The organisers are inviting the submission of extended abstracts for papers, posters, and short presentations. The submission deadline is 26 October 2025.

FOAM 2024: FAIR principles for Ontologies and Metadata in Knowledge Management

FOAM is a new workshop merging the Workshop on Ontologies for FAIR and FAIR Ontologies (Onto4FAIR), the Conceptual Modeling, Ontologies and Metadata Management for Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR) Data (CMOMM4FAIR) and the FAIR Ontology Harmonization and TRUST Data Interoperability Workshop (FOHTI).

The main objectives of this workshop are:

to bring together new methods for enabling FAIR research outputs (data, software, workflows, ontologies, mappings, etc.) through ontologies and vocabularies,
discuss techniques, metrics and guidelines to improve the FAIRness of ontologies and vocabularies.
to share experiences, identify new challenges and opportunities applying FAIR for different communities.

FAIR-IMPACT – Second call for national-level initiatives

The FAIR-IMPACT project is pleased to announce the launch of a support programme for national-level initiatives. This programme targets organisations with a national scope, included (but not limited to) those mandated by EOSC. Its purpose is to assist participants in developing their FAIR implementation activities.
