Members of the EOSC CZ Working Groups Elect Their Representatives Again After Two Years
EOSC CZ enters a new phase: this year’s working group elections reflect the shift toward practical use of the infrastructure and the development of services.
Version 1.0 of the Czech Core Metadata Model for Research Data (CCMM) has been released – the core metadata model for describing research data within the National Data Infrastructure. CCMM enables metadata interoperability, allowing metadata to be aggregated in the National Metadata Catalogue. This robust model is the result of collaboration between active members of the Metadata Working Group and the implementers of projects within our EOSC CZ initiative.
All information about CCMM and the related metadata support can be found on the website ccmm.cz, which is continuously expanding with additional resources useful for working with metadata and controlled vocabularies.
CCMM 1.0 is also available on GitHub, including a complete export of the model from Dataspecer, which can be re-imported into the tool and used for creating your own domain profiles. Feedback on the model can be submitted via GitHub issues, and any questions can be directed to metadata@techlib.cz.
In the autumn, we will also be organizing workshops and training sessions focused on working with CCMM, Dataspecer, and the creation of metadata profiles. Details will be announced in due time.

Building and connecting expert communities is one of the core activities of the EOSC CZ initiative. Alongside the development of infrastructure and services, strong emphasis is placed on the people who use these tools in practice and help move them forward. For this reason, a series of thematic networking events was organised throughout the past year, bringing together researchers, data stewards, institutional leadership and professionals engaged in Open Science and research data management.
