DMP – Why me??? (for researchers)
-
22 May 2026
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM - online
Annotation: Data management planning is now a part of the everyday life of researchers. However a lot of us in research sometimes feel lost with all the requirements. In this seminar we will explore how a data management plan (DMP) looks like, why it is useful and important for a project, and how researchers can be prepared to answer questions related to their datasets in the DMP.
Benefits for participants: Participants will be guided through the advantages of a DMP and its value as a living document. They will also gain insight into how to complete sections of a DMP, such as metadata standards, data formats, and data transformation.
Level: beginner; all levels welcome
Language: English
Prerequisites: No prior knowledge is required. If participants are already required to provide a DMP, it is helpful to be aware of any data management requirements for their projects so that they can relate the information presented to their own use cases.
