Annotation: The workshop will focus on defining the legal limits of ensuring cyber security following the amendment to the Cyber Security Act. Particular attention will be paid to the issue of safeguarding data from science and research. A second distinct area concerns the protection of research, development, innovation and knowledge transfer outcomes, as well as research data, in connection with their disclosure and protection against unauthorised access or misuse. This protection will need to be implemented from 1 January 2027; however, it is advisable to identify the risks of disruption to research, development and innovation already at the initial stage of working with data and to establish appropriate measures accordingly.
Benefits for participants: Participants in the workshop will gain an overview of the current legislative requirements in the field of cyber security following the amendment to the Cyber Security Act and will understand their implications for the environment of science, research and innovation. They will become familiar with the principles of protecting research data, research outcomes and knowledge transfer against unauthorised access, misuse or unwanted disclosure.
