Annotation: The webinar is intended for anyone interested in learning about large language models (LLMs) and using them in practice in their work. During the webinar, we will introduce the capabilities of these tools, discuss how to use them safely, and explore the AI services available through the national e-INFRA CZ infrastructure.
We will begin by looking at large language models themselves – what they are, how they work, and what tasks they are suited to. We will then discuss the security aspects of using them and look at specific AI services available to users through the e-infrastructure.
The next part will focus on agentic tools that can automate more complex tasks. Through a practical demonstration, we will also show how to integrate language models into your own applications via an API. We will also cover the limitations and shortcomings of AI – where models have their limits and what kinds of errors to look out for. The webinar will conclude with a discussion and an opportunity to ask questions and discuss specific use cases.

Lukáš Hejtmánek
RNDr. Lukáš Hejtmánek, Ph.D., is an IT architect and Head of the Cloud Computing and Storage Department at the CERIT-SC centre at Masaryk University in Brno. As part of the e-INFRA CZ infrastructure, he specialises in the operation of computing infrastructure and cloud services, as well as the deployment of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) tools for the academic and research community, with a focus on efficiency and optimising the costs associated with AI models.
