OSCARS Project Applications Submitted

On Wednesday, 15th May, the deadline for the first open call for project submissions in the realm of open science for the international OSCARS project was reached. A total of 264 proposals were submitted from 33 countries and 226 organisations, with 70 per cent originating from EU countries. This call has over EUR 13 million available for distribution.

Project Selection

In the coming days, an independent committee will review the submitted projects, and the final selection of funded projects is expected to be announced by the end of July 2024. EOSC CZ actively participated in the preparation of applications for the OSCARS project, providing consultations and support to applicants from Masaryk University (MU) and Charles University (UK). The involvement of Czech institutions highlights the strong engagement of the Czech Republic in open science and research at the European level.

The OSCARS project is an initiative focused on the optimisation and harmonisation of services and resources within the EOSC. It represents a significant step towards enhancing open science and innovation both in Europe and beyond, and its success will have a long-term positive impact on the research community.
