On September 3, 2025, another stop of the EOSC CZ Networking series took place at the SOLID21 building of the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (FZU), this time with representatives of FZU and the secretaries of EOSC CZ working groups. The program began with an introduction to the EOSC CZ initiative, including an overview of tools and services that are already operational – from training and workshops to other activities designed to serve the wider academic community.

From FZU, data steward Kristýna Dostálová presented how the institute implements and coordinates Open Science practices, including data management and Open Access. Special attention was given to the presentation by Antonín Fejfar, who illustrated how EOSC contributes to the development of the research community and showcased concrete examples from projects and calls, such as Open Science OP JAK, in which FZU is actively involved. The discussion highlighted the benefits of systematic data stewardship and provided a glimpse into future outputs.

The networking session offered participants an informal space to exchange contacts, ideas, and experiences – exactly what gives the event its unique character and added value. “I am glad that such discussion platforms exist, not only as an opportunity to meet but also to create meaningful progress in research data management,” commented Michaela Capandová from the EOSC CZ initiative.

The next EOSC CZ Networking will occur on October 7 in Ostrava, involving universities from Silesia: Ostrava University, VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, and Silesian University in Opava.
