The European Forum 2023 centered on the theme, "Data and Artificial Intelligence in Action: Sustainable Impact and Future Realities," a recurring theme that echoed throughout the event. Over the course of the three-day conference, industry experts, developers, researchers, and policymakers from Europe and various parts of the world gathered to advance policy initiatives, industry, and research endeavors in the domains of big data and artificial intelligence. The European Big Data Value Forum served as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and the exploration of novel perspectives on big data and AI. Additionally, it provided a valuable opportunity for networking, which the representatives of the Czech EOSC initiative embraced.

EOSC-CZ data analyst Martin Dvořák participated the EBDVF 2023 conference and said: "There are not many conferences that provide such a comprehensive focus on lectures related to the European Data Strategy, spanning both high-level discussions and specific upcoming data spaces. EOSC is a prime example of such a data space dedicated to the sharing of scientific data. Furthermore, I find the opportunity to engage in discussions with other partners involved in the European Digital Decade, such as Gaia X and Eona X, to be a significant benefit of this conference."

The European Big Data Value Forum 2023 featured an impressive line-up of over 200 speakers who presented topics related to big data and artificial intelligence. The event boasted a diverse program encompassing plenary, parallel, and special sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and various other engaging activities.

Michal Podhoranyi, who works as the Secretary of the Data Management for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Working Group within the EOSC-CZ project, highlighted the significance of EBDVF 2023: "The conference proved to be immensely valuable for professionals in the artificial intelligence sector, providing them with a platform to exchange the latest findings and trends. Discussions addressing the ethical and practical aspects of AI and machine learning, particularly concerning Large Language Models (LLM), have propelled the field forward. Moreover, the event facilitated collaborations among researchers, fostering the potential for new innovations in this rapidly evolving field."

With over 500 attendees congregating in Valencia, Spain, the European Forum attracted a substantial audience.
