Invitation to Open Science Week 2024: Three days of open science and innovation

From 21 to 23 October 2024, Open Science Week 2024 will take place through online conferences on the Zoom platform. Organized by the Open Science Working Group of the Association of University Libraries of the Czech Republic, this three-day event brings a range of interesting lectures, discussions and practical demonstrations focused on Open Access, open data and other open science practices to help you better navigate the world of open science and meet the requirements of grant agencies.

The Role of Data Stewards and Open Science Centers at the University of South Bohemia: An Interview with Data Steward Manali Das

On 13 September 2024, a presentation of the EOSC CZ Initiative and networking with representatives of the EOSC CZ Secretariat and Training Centre took place at the University of South Bohemia. The meeting focused on implementing EOSC and the future of open data in the Czech Republic. Discussions were also held on the P JAC projects and the importance of the institutional data steward.

Call for candidates for four directors of the EOSC Association

The call for candidates for four EOSC Association Board of Director positions has been launched for the 2024 elections, which will take place during the 9th General Assembly. Members interested in potentially serving on the Board for either one or three years are encouraged to apply. Currently, there is a need for candidates with specific skills, including political insight, policy expertise, and relevant technological know-how.

Consultation on the EOSC Multi-Annual Roadmap

The EOSC Association Board of Directors has drafted an update of the Multi-Annual Roadmap (MAR) for 2026–2027, outlining priority activities for implementing EOSC at the European, national, and institutional levels. A three-week consultation to gather community feedback on the updated MAR opened on 3 September and will run through 22 September of this year.
